Hannah Seng's acrylic paintings incorporate imaginative & illustrative qualities informed by colors & shapes found in nature. A native of western North Carolina, she conveys a sense of place in her work with influences from her Appalachian heritage. In her series of bird paintings she explores colorful patterns & shapes with a hint of symbolic narrative.
Hannah earned her BA in painting at the University of North Carolina at Asheville while also performing traditional & original Appalachian & Celtic music on fiddle & banjo throughout the region. She continues to make art & music from her home studio in Saluda, North Carolina.
