A visit to the pottery capitol of the US!

I recently drove halfway across the state to find the pottery capital of the world (or at least of the US) Seagrove, North Carolina. This is a tiny town where artisans create handcrafted pottery inspired by the traditions that began in the community over 200 years ago. Nearly 100 shops & artist studios are located in & around this quaint little town.

The goal of the trip was to bring back work from Blue Hen Pottery studio & Kate Johnston’s studio. 4 big boxes later, I was driving back across the state towards the mountains, eager to open them up & see what’s inside.

Join us at Woodlands Gallery any day of the week from 11-5. We would love to talk about all things pottery with you & share with you the beautiful pieces we’ve acquired.
